   me too!
   my pediatrician sat me down when i first went in with my son. i was eightteen and he said 'i'm going to tell you somethign that will change your life. the difference between a good parent and a bad parent is: a good parent will admit that they want to smack their kid. they'll admit it anywhere anytime to anyone. a bad parent will hold it in and wind up smacking them'
   
   i've thanked him for that in my head very very very very often :)

   Common sense and a sense of humor will get you through many days, I have found. That and having something to get you out of the house without the kids and darling, clueless hubby.
